Richmond Bell Architects project The Studio won the Residential Architectural Property category
We were thrilled to win the Private Residential Architecture Award at the 2019 International Design & Architecture Awards.
Our project The Studio, a stunning contemporary, sustainable pool house and Pilates studio in Wiltshire, received the award for best Private Residential Architecture. The results were calculated from a public vote in which almost 87000 votes were cast across the Awards. design et al magazine organised the awards and ceremony. RBA Director James had a fantastic evening at the ceremony at Grosvenor House Hotel, London, where he met many talented and inspirational people from the design and architecture industry.
The RBA team designed the Studio for private clients and it was built in conjunction with Carpenter Oak and WB Design & Build. It is a beautiful, timber-framed and timber-clad contemporary building. The Studio contrasts with the neighbouring traditional Georgian Old Rectory but remains sympathetic to its rural setting.
