Wiltshire Council granted Planning and Listed Building Consent for alterations to this Listed Manor House in 2022. The works comprised of modernising the house and replacing the heating system with a sustainable solution, including the incorporation of solar panels and heat pumps. Internally the small rooms of the Victorian service wing were opened up to create large open-plan living spaces, which opened onto the garden.

As part of the planning process, Richmond Bell worked closely with the council's Conservation Officer to ensure that key features of the building were retained, while allowing the house to be made more suitable for modern family living. As part of this process, even though a corridor wall is being removed, its location will be marked by a change in the floor finish to help identify its original position. This retains a nod to the smaller spaces of the Victorian service wing.
